HQB Financial Services provides a range of financial planning, investment and insurance advice and assistance to help people grow, manage and protect their wealth.
We are committed to assisting our clients create wealth and achieve their personal and financial goals. After a complimentary first appointment we develop individual advice to support clients in the areas of strategic direction, investment management and wealth protection. From this point forward we look to develop a strong business relationship built on trust. All advice is backed by a comprehensive, regular, on-going review service.
We also offer mortgage broking, commercial financing and leasing services and can facilitate the purchase of direct equities through a preferred list of brokers.
HQB Financial Services is also a fee-for-service business meaning we don’t receive hidden commissions from product providers. HQB Financial Services is a Corporate Authorised Representative No. 288184 of My Adviser Pty Ltd ABN 80 065 370 354 AFSL 238307.

Ian Armstrong
Ian started in the financial services industry in 2001 when he undertook a graduate position with a major financial institution. Upon completion of the graduate position he spent 18 months working as a paraplanner before becoming a financial planner in 2002. Ian started with HQB Financial Services in 2006 and became a partner in 2007. Ian holds a Bachelor of Business Degree, Certificate IV in Financial Planning and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) – he is also a NSW Justice of the Peace.
As an Authorised Representative of My Adviser Pty Ltd (No. 291927) Ian can provide strategic wealth advice in all areas of financial planning, but his skills are particularly suited to assisting you to build and protect your personal wealth.
This can be achieved through cashflow management, investment strategies, use of structures for control and risk protection to assist you to achieve your lifestyle goals and financial security.

Michael Tsakaros
Michael had approximately 20 years experience as a commercial accountant before moving to the financial services industry in 2002 firstly working as a paraplanner, and more recently as a financial planner. He holds an Associate Diploma of Business (Accounting) and a PS146 Financial Planning Accreditation.
As an Authorised Representative of My Adviser Pty Ltd (No. 315162) Michael can provide strategic wealth advice in all areas of financial planning, but his skills are particularly suited to assisting you to build and protect your personal wealth.
