“On the 18th of August last year, our family doctor of twenty years called mum to confirm the lump she had found only days earlier was indeed breast cancer.” – This was the reality for our friend and colleague, and his family last year. After dozens of chemotherapy sessions Jamie’s mother, Jayne, was able to undergo surgery and with the help and support of specialists, surgeons and medical professionals, Jayne was blessed with a negative cancer result earlier this year. In true Jamie spirit he is running a half-marathon on the 3^rd of July to raise money towards finding a cure for breast cancer alongside his older brother, Nick.
