Ian has just returned from a month in Europe where he soaked up the summer sun and embarked on the ultimate cycling challenge that was Stage 19 of the Tour De France. Also known as the ‘Queen Stage’ it is a short route but one that’s packed with difficulties including the toughest climb of the race, the Col de la Croix de Fer which reaches 2067m. In total, the stage is 138km but there’s barely a meter of flat so no chance to recuperate. Ian finished the uphill battle with a smile on his face and an experience to last a lifetime.
