At a time where human interaction is few and far between (and most of our staff are working from home), we wanted to take some time today to look back on a fun bonding experience our team shared recently.

Besides our usual excitement for the impending weekend after a busy week, Friday the 21st of February was a particularly exciting day for the HQB team as we swapped our office for the scenic Aanuka Beach Resort.

As a team, we took the time to explore our core values, create clear goals for the future and consider ways we can better service our clients. It was also an opportunity to bond as a team in order to create a better culture within our workplace. Some of the benefits from the day included staff across all levels getting more of an idea of HQB’s ‘mission statement’ and learning more about the specific day-to-day roles of staff in different departments. Both accountants and administraion staff benefited from exploring how their role fits within the business and how it contributes to our overall success. We were also able to put to rest some contentious issues such as who controls the music playlist!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Mike from Funergizers for his time on the day. He effectively tailored the agenda to our business’ needs in order to address topics specific to our workplace and more specifically, our team. Mike certainly uses some interesting bonding techniques:
