Ian Hogbin

Ian is a Fellow Chartered Accountant that has been working with business owners for over 45 years, helping them to achieve their business goals. Ian held HQB’s Managing Partner title from 1990 to 2026. He sets high standards for the entire team to ensure that all HQB clients receive superior service and expert advice.

A strong advocate for the Coffs Coast community, Ian has been a Coffs Harbour City Councillor, worked with the Chamber of Commerce and spearheaded the Coffs Harbour 2050 Think Tank. He also played a role in the introduction of the International Stadium and the launch of Bishop Druitt College, along with actively supporting numerous community and charity events.

When he’s not busy helping HQB’s clients or the community as a whole, Ian enjoys being a doting grandparent, and keeping active with cycling, running and swimming. He has a passion for travel and of course, the occasional winery tour.
